When getting a quote for your cat, you’ll be asked to declare medical conditions they’ve had in the last two years. You’ll also answer a few questions about their current health. You’ve got the power to tailor the policy to your pet’s needs, as well as suit your budget.

Lots of insurers may make you pay mandatory contributions (known as co-payments) on top of your excess when your pet gets to a certain age – but not us.

We wouldn’t cover any maintenance treatment for an existing condition. By this, we mean any repeat prescriptions, ongoing therapy treatments, scans/tests, or planned consultations that are known at the point of taking out cover with us.
We also don’t cover any pre-existing conditions if your cat has an undiagnosed condition or any pending surgery at the point of taking out cover.
We will cover worsening and new symptoms of your cat’s pre-existing conditions that have been declared and accepted by us.

**Illnesses won’t be covered in the first 14 days and accidents won’t be covered in the first 2 days of the policy unless you are switching from another insurer on a like for like basis with no break in cover. Other exclusions may apply to other sections.
